Cuba celebrates 50th anniversary of revolution
SAINT KITTS AND NEVIS, December 18, 2008. On 1 Jan., 2009 Cuba will celebrate its 50th anniversary since the revolution.
Several activities have been planned to commemorate the occasion including a special event in St. Kitts.
Today, at 4:30 p.m., the Cuban film Kangamba will be aired at the University of the West Indies Centre. The film is based on the battle of Kangamba which took place in Angola in 1983 between the apartheid forces of the South Africa regime, and the Angolan patriotic fighters supported by the Cuban internationalist forces.
Residents of St. Kitts/Nevis are being invited to attend this important event in commemoration of the Cuban revolution and as a means of increasing their knowledge regarding Cuban political theory and lifestyle.
