Cuban Medical Team in Botswana Celebrated 50th Anniversary of the Triumph of the Revolution

BOSTWANA, January 7, 2009. – Cuban medical brigade in Botswana Celebrated the 50th Anniversary of the Triumph of the Revolution with political and cultural events in the districts of Gaborone, Serowe and Francistown.

The main event was held in the district of Francistown, where the political events were chaired by Cuban Ambassador to Botswana, Jorge Luis Lopez Tormo, the Solidarity Group Botswana - Cuba and friends of the press.

The Ambassador expressed his appreciation to the cooperantes for the results achieved in the ending year for the partnership for Health and Sports, respectively, as well as the achievements of the diplomatic Mission on strengthening bilateral relations. He also expressed the commitment of all Cubans cooperants and diplomatic officials to continue working to raise the prestige and influence of the Cuban Revolution in Botswana.
