Friends of Cuba in Pakistan celebrate the 50 Anniversary of the Revolution
PAKISTAN, February 16, 2009. Pakistan Cuba Friendship Association in Gujrat city (PCFA-G), in Punjab province, commemorated the 50 Anniversary of the Cuban Revolution through a full of activities program.
Gathered at the Gujrat Press Club dozens of newsmen, businessmen and Trade Union leaders declared their admiration for the Cuban revolutionary process and sent a heartfelt congratulating message to the Cuban people and its government.
Likewise, nearly a hundred members and political activists from the Pakistan Muslin League Party Nawaz (PML-N), together with newsmen and friends of Cuba, voiced their commitment in strengthening the friendly ties between both countries while adhering themselves to the PCFA-G. At the same time, those gathered declared their admiration by the forceful position of Cuba as opposed to the American aggressions, while recognizing the firmness of the Cuban leader Fidel Castro for the wellbeing of his people and for his ideals. They also find the occasion appropriated to reject the United States blockade against Cuba and to send their better congratulations to the Cuban people and its leadership by the commemoration of half century of victories.
