From Namibia: Long live the 50 anniversary of the Cuban Revolution!
NAMIBIA, January 1, 2009. With great joy, the Cuban State Mision in Namibia awaited the arrival of the 50 Anniversary of the Triumph of the Socialist Revolution in Cuba.
Cubans - both diplomats and collaborators, together with friends from the Namibia-Cuba Friendship Asociation celebrated the date. As a special symbol of brotherhood, all night long we were also accompanied by the head & staff of the Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Namibia, Mr. Juan Carlos Barrios, Chargé d’Affaires ad-hoc and Ms. Raquel Escobar, Second Secretary.
El political segment of the evening included the reading of a message by our Five Heroes and the keynote address by the Cuban Ambassador, H.E. Ana Vilma Vallejera, who talked about estos fifty years of victories.
Joy and dance reigned until the first hours of the New Year, celebrating the start of our second half-century of Revolución.
