The 50 Anniversary of the Cuban Revolution in a Pakistani newspaper

Pakistan, January 6, 2009.- With the title Cuba, 50 Anniversary, the Pakistan Observer published a message from the Embassy in commemoration of the 50 Anniversary of the Revolution. The text, while remarking the great significance of the day for Cubans, it points out the long fight of several generations to conquer the true independence and sovereignty. It also approaches the direct links that exist between the liberal process culminated in January 1st, 1959, and the one initiate by our forefathers in 1868 including the neocolonial period fights, both guiding the so known Centennial Generation.

The message also points out the magnificent achievement represented by the last 50 years of existence of the Cuban revolutionary process, for its impact in the well-being of the people and its pursuit of all possible justice, in spite of half century of North American aggressions.
