Cuba and the World Celebrate 51st Anniversary of the Revolution

Cuba, January 1 -- January 1, 2010 marks the 51st anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution. Throughout the world, activities in solidarity with the Cuban people are taking place to celebrate another year of socialist achievements.

In 2009, the Cuban people proved once again that no obstacle can undermine the joy, the tenacity and the determination to continue on the path of building and defending socialism. The beauty of this little island in the Caribbean lies in its warm and hospitable people, the delicious taste of its food, the incredible beauty of its nature, and the uncompromising ideals of freedom and sovereignty.
