Kenyan president congratulates Cuban people on the occasion of the 51st Anniversary of the Triumph of the Revolution
KENYA, January 5th, 2010. - The President of Kenya, H.E. Mr. Mwai Kibaki, in a congratulatory message sent to Cuban President, Raul Castro, emphasized that the Cuban victory helped the country realize its independence, safeguard the state sovereignty and its national dignity as well as to move forward to admirable socioeconomic successes.
The Kenyan President also described the relations between the two countries as excellent and always vibrant. He expressed his wish to continue working for the strengthening of the bilateral bonds of friendship for the mutual benefit of both peoples. He also recognized as a token of solidarity, the fact that Kenya has consistently supported the lifting of the decades old unwarranted blockade imposed against Cuba.
Finally, he reiterated to the Cuban leader the confidence that under his stewardship greater prosperity for the Cuban people will be attained and expressed his best wishes for good health, long life and prosperity to the people of Cuba. (cubaminrex - Embacuba Kenya )
