Palestinian Leader Congratulates Cuban President Raul Castro

CUBA, Jan 11, 2010. - Al Hurriah, the official weekly of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestina, published on its latest issue a message of congratulation sent by the General Secretary of that organization, Nayef Hawatmeh, to Cuban President Raul Castro, on the occasion of the 51st anniversary of the Cuban Revolution.
Likewise, the Palestinian publication acknowledges the contribution made by the Caribbean island to its brothers and sisters in the region, in a long article entitled The Victory of the Left in Latin America.

The text deepens into the influence of the Cuban Revolution in the revolutionary process Latin America is presently living, and the support given by the island to social programs in Venezuela, Bolivia and other nations in the area.

The article includes photographs of Revolution leader Fidel Castro, Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, Heroic Guerrilla Ernesto Guevara, Cuba’s National Hero Jose Marti, and Venezuelan Liberator Simon Bolivar. (Cubaminrex - acn)
