The Anniversary of The Cuban Revolution is celebrated in Belize
BELIZE, December 29, 2009.- The 51st Anniversary of The Cuban Revolution was celebrated in Belize with the participation of all the Cuban collaborators in the country, members of the Association of Cuban Residents in Belize, the Friendship Clubs of all districts and the staff of the Embassy of Cuba. The Activity had an attendance of over 160 people including national health authorities.
The political cultural presentation was concluded with the words of the Ambassador of Cuba to Belize, who congratulated all present in the name of the Government and People of Cuba. A review of Cuba’s cooperation was highlighted and certificates of recognition were delivered to the collaborators and the Friendship Clubs. The end of the cruel blockade against Cuba and the immediate release of our Five Heroes were also demanded.
All Districts presented cultural activities that went from a variety of singers, violinists and comedians. This National gathering marks the initiation of the activities for the Revolutions Anniversary. Simultaneous activities in all districts will be carried out on the 31st of December.
