Barbados Prime Minister Sends Message to Raul on the Occasion of the Triumph of the Revolution

BARBADOS, January 4, 2012. - The Prime Minister of Barbados Freundel Stuart has sent a warm congratulatory message to the President Raul Castro on the occasion of the Anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution.

"The long-standing relationship that has existed between our two countries has been characterized by cooperation and collaboration in many areas and Barbados recognizes the mutual benefit that they have meant and continue playing."

In a clear reference to the need to maintain a friendly relationship as both countries have grown, Barbadian Prime Minister expressed in his letter: "We are moving increasingly toward challenging scenarios for our small countries, Barbados confident that our relations will be strengthened in the interest of greater cooperation in areas of common interest."

Stuart concludes his message, dated January 4 this himself saying: "Excellency, accept my best wishes for peace and prosperity for the Cuban government and people." (Cubaminrex/ Embcuba Barbados)
