Children of Che Guevara Demand the Freedom of the Cuban Five in South Africa
SOUTH AFRICA, October 13, 2009. The South African daily newspaper The Star and on the web site News 24, published articles about the visit to South Africa of Aleida and Camilo Guevara, children of the Heroic Guerrilla Leader, Che Guevara. They are in the country as part of the actions that are been carried out to mobilize support for the international campaign for the freedom of the Five.
Both media commented that the visit of Che Guevara’s children respond to an invitation of the Friendship Association with Cuba in South Africa (FOCUS) and mentioned that, among the activities that will be carried out during their visit, they will make an appearance before the South African National Assembly. In that occasion they will try to win the support of the members of the Parliament to the current actions of the solidarity movement around the world in order to request US President Barack Obama to grant a fair treatment to the Five anti-terrorist Cuban fighters that are unjustly imprisoned in US jails.(Cubaminrex- Embacuba Sudáfrica)
