Cuban Lawyers to Lead Forum on Cuban Five.

CUBA,  October 5, 2010.-  Cuba’s National Association of Lawyers will lead an interactive forum about the case of the five Cuban anti-terrorist fighters imprisoned in the United States since 1998.

The forum will take place on October 6 and it will also include the subject of terrorist actions against Cuba and the need for
the island to rebuff such threats.

The initiative seeks to provide an opportunity for people from all over the world to urge American President Barack Obama to withdraw the charges held against Gerardo Hernandez,Rene Gonzalez, Ramon Labañino, Fernando Gonzalez and Antonio Guerrero, victims of a politically biased trial, and send them home.

At the forum, Cuban lawyers will review issues relating to the legal aspects of the case, irregularities during the process and violations committed against the rights of the Cuban Five and their relatives. (Cubaminrex-RHC)
