Cuban Five book by Ricardo Alarcon presented in Uruguay.
URUGUAY, December 13th, 2010.- Cuba's ambassador in Uruguay, Carmen Perez, presented the book “The proscribed heroes”, the untold story of the Cuban Five by Cuban Parliament President Ricardo Alarcon.
The work presented in the locality of La Paloma, Rocha department, is a compilation of articles written by Alarcón about the cause of Gerardo Hernández, René González, Ramón Labañino, Antonio Guerrero and Fernando Gonzalez, imprisoned in the United States for more than 12 years.
The diplomat said the International Day of Human Rights had a special meaning for Cuba, given the fact that it was devoted to demand the release of The Five. (Cubaminrex-RHC)
