US Attorney Leonard Weinglass Will Denounce Manipulation of the Case of the Cuban Five in Washington DC
UNITED STATES , September 10, 2007.- US attorney Leonard Weinglass, one of the lawyers of the Cuban Five will offer details on the manipulation of the case of the anti terrorists fighters at Howard University in Washington DC.
Weinglass, whose presentation will coincide with the 9th anniversary of the Cuban Five's detention, will be the special guest at the Howard University's Law Department.
A recorded video message of US actor and activist Danny Glover will also be presented in favour of the release of the five Cuban political prisoners incarcerated in the US.
Fernando Gonzalez, Antonio Guerrero, Gerardo Hernandez, Ramon Labañino and Rene Gonzalez have been in prison since September 12th, 1998 for having infiltrated in right wing Cuban American terrorist organizations in an attempt o stop activities against Cuba.
The International Committee in Favor for the Release of the Cuban Five announced a worldwide solidarity campaign in favour of the anti terrorist fighters to begin on September 12th and will run until October 8th. (Cubaminrex-RHC)
