Labañino Highlights Example of Dignity of Lawyer Weinglass
CUBA, March 24, 2011.- Ramon Labañino, one of the five Cuban antiterrorists unfairly incarcerated in the United States for more than 12 years now, highlighted the example of dignity of US lawyer Leonard Weinglass, who died on Wednesday in New York.
Those who had the honor of meeting with him, will forever keep in our memory and hearts his example of dignity and intelligence and of the excellent human being he was, wrote Labañino from the prison of Jesup, in the state of Georgia, where he’s serving a 30-year sentence.
The message was read at the office of the Cuban Institute for Friendship with the Peoples in this city, while Adriana Perez and Rosa Aurora Freijanes, wives of Gerardo Hernandez and Fernando Gonzalez, respectively, met with youngsters from Third World nations, studying as grant holders in universities of Camagüey.
The best way to honor him is to follow his path. We’ll continue struggling until achieving the final victory, points out Labañino.
The message was also sent on behalf of Gerardo Hernandez, Rene Gonzalez, Fernando Gonzalez and Antonio Guerrero, who, like Labañino, monitored the activities of anti-Cuban terrorist organizations in the United States, in order to prevent the implementation of their criminal plans against the island.
Adriana Perez and Rosa Aurora Freijanes participate in the 13th National Meeting of Women Economists and Accountants, which began on Thursday in this city. (Cubaminrex-AIN)
