Seminar about the Cause of the Five Cuban Heroes held in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines
SAINT VINCENT and the GRENADINES, July the 10th, 2009.- In the Bolivarian Culture Institute of Venezuela in Kingstown, a Seminar was held about the Cause of the Five Cuban Heroes, organized jointly by the Cuban embassy and the Committee of Solidarity with the Cuban Five. Presented in the Seminar were all the Associations of Friendship with Cuba, including those professionals graduated in Cuba and the students now, which are on holiday in the Island.
The introductory remarks were made by the Cuban ambassador, Olga Chamero Trias and the main speech by the President of the Committee of the Cuban Five, Dr Parnell R.Campbell, (QC).
In the Seminar intervened Noel Jackson, President of the National Workers Union, Bernard Hamilton from VINCUPA (Vincentian professionals graduated in Cuba) an also a representative of the Vincentian Cuba Friendship Society. In the Event Empress Modupe, from the Rastafarian Movement, made an emotive presentation about the Cause of the Five Cuban Heroes.
Present in the Seminar was also the Ambassador of Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, H.E. Yoel Perez Marcano, and Cuban cooperants working in the island. (Cubaminrex- Embacuba Saint Vincent and the Grenadines)
