EE.UU., August 12th, 2010.- Among other activities in favor of the freedom of the five Cuban antiterrorists unjustly imprisoned in US jails since 1998, on September 3, an exhibition of the artistic work of Antonio Guerrero—one of them—will be inaugurated in New York.
"This will be a good occasion to show the communities of that US state the truth about that unjust case," said Benjamín Lamas— a member of the committee of solidarity with Cuba— in statements to Prensa Latina news agency.
"We will also devote a whole month to the cause of the five Cuban heroes, from September 12 to October 12, in order to raise conscience in that regard.
Gerardo, René, Ramón, Fernando and Antonio were sent to prison for monitoring the right wing groups settled in the US, from where they carry out terrorist attacks against Cuba.
"What has happened to the Cuban Five is a crime, and we must demand justice to rectify that situation," said Lamas.
"The US press lies constantly about the reality of Cuba, and our solidarity movement is a space to tell the truth," he added. (Cubaminrex – Granma)
