Mexican Solidarity-with-Cuba Movement Demands Release of Cuban Five.
CUBA, September 13th, 2010.- Members of the Mexican Solidarity-with-Cuba Movement went of a demonstration in front of the US embassy in Mexico to demand the immediate release of the five Cuban antiterrorists incarcerated in the United States.
The demonstrators made public a document they had handed at the US embassy where they denounced that Gerardo Hernandez, René Gonzalez, Antonio Guerrero, Ramón Labañino and Fernando Gonzalez are in jail “due to political not legal reasons, since they were not found guilty of any crime”
In the letter, the Movement accuses the US of “acting in this case with doble standards, using as a pretext the war on terror, to attack other countries and national freedom movements”, reported ANSA
Having the Cuban Five, as these patriots are known internationally, is a part of a policy that includes the economic, financial and commercial blockade of Cuba, the funding of political groups to destabilize it and the constant aggression in every international forum,” it concludes.
It also denounced the existence of an anti-Cuban terrorist net that has operated out of Florida under the indifferent nose of the US authorities. (Cubaminrex - ACN)
