Call in Peru to strengthen support for the Cuban Five
CUBA, August 18th, 2010.- A group of prominent personalities convened in Lima (Peru) to maximize solidarity with the Cuban Five, unjustly imprisoned in U.S. for almost 12 years.
The call, launched by the Peruvian Committee of Solidarity with the Five, says there is an urgent need for citizenship and progressive and democratic sectors to strengthen solidarity with their cause, reported PL news agency.
The document also points out that the defense of the Cuban heroes have found a new way to reopen their case and that there’s renewed attention to the demands made worldwide for the release of these courageous fighters for peace. (Cubaminrex - RHC)
