Solidarity with the Cuban Five and rejection to the Anti Cuban Campaign in Sri Lanka
SRI LANKA, May 22nd, 2010. The Cuban Graduates Association of Sri Lanka expressed today their solidarity with the Cuban nation against the brutal campaign carried out through the mass media by the super powers to tarnish the Cuban Revolution, and to impede the inspiration of such Revolution by the other nations. This took place today at a meeting held with the Cuban Ambassador Nirsia Castro Guevara at the Cuban Embassy in Colombo. The participants in the meeting expressed their concern once they knew of the detailed explanation given by the Cuban Ambassador on the actions taken by the Cuban nation at this stage to reject the attempts by its enemies.
The members of the Cuban Graduates Association were also detailed on the current situation of the five antiterrorist fighters who are unfairly detained in the USA, and expressed their will to give their total and mayor support to the International Committee FREE THE FIVE in the Post Card Campaign (with the request of 10 Nobel Prize winners) to President Obama.
The Association, which consists of dozens of professionals in different fields, mainly doctors, rejected any kind of threat against Cuba. They were also of the view that those who accuse the Revolution with slander and lies cannot understand the Cuban Revolution as it goes beyond, not only as a single nation but also to the total humanity.(Cubaminrex- Embacuba Sri Lanka)
