Bolivian Legislative Assembly urges Obama to release the Cuban Five.
BOLIVIA, October 22, 2010.- The Legislative Assembly of Bolivia demanded the release of the Five Cubans unfairly imprisoned in U.S. jails since 1998.
Separate resolutions of the Bolivian Chamber of Deputies and the Senate, approved by two thirds, demand U.S. President Barack Obama to put an end to this injustice and allow the Cuban heroes return to their homeland.
Furthermore, they required a revaluation of the Five’s case, due to violations of international law.
The assembly members called upon the Bolivian people, government authorities, and social and political organizations to redouble their efforts in the Free the Five Campaign. (Cubaminrex-RHC)
