Ambassador of Venezuela Qualifies as Fragrant Act against World Peace the Unjust Imprisonment of the 5 Cuban Heroes
TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO, September 20, 2011.- In a speech during the Concert to Commemorate the International Day of Peace within the framework of the United Nations, the Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Maria Eugenia Marcano Casado referred to the case of the Cuban 5 antiterrorist fighters, describing their incarceration as a flagrant act against world peace.
During her speech the Venezuelan diplomatic joined her voice to the international solidarity movement to demand the freedom of Gerardo, Ramón, René, Fernando, and Antonio, emphasized the violation of the rights of these Cuban patriots throughout their trials and put in doubt the possibility that the they could have a fair and objective trial.
