Cuban Five Case Presented in Argentinean Film Festival.
ARGENTINA, March 28, 2011.- The case of the Cuban Five antiterrorist fighters held in U.S. prisons since September 1998 will be exhibited in Buenos Aires, seat of the 1st International Political Film Festival (FICIP 2011).
Details of the legal process against the Five, as Antonio Guerrero, Fernando González, Gerardo Hernández, Ramón Labañino and René González are internationally known, are related in the film “The process, the untold story.”
The work of filmmaker Enrique Almirante also unveils the misinformation campaign and murky legal procedures carried out by U.S. authorities in order to jail the Cuban Five, who only sought information on anti-Cuban terrorist groups’ plans.
The Cuban documentary “The Path of Terror” of the TV series “Cuba’s Reasons” will also be screened as part of the festival. (Cubaminrex-RHC-PL)
