Declaration of the Antigua Committee for the liberation of the Cuban Five.

It has been over twelve (12) years now that the Cuban Five have been unjustly imprisoned in the USA on charges that the whole world now
Know are false and malicious.

It is for this reason that we, the members of the Antigua committee for the Liberation of the Cuban Five stand in solidarity with The Five Heroes Rene González, Antonio Guerrero, Ramón Labanino, Gerardo Hernandez and Fernando Gonzalez whose only crime was to Project and defend their homeland. Their presence in Miami in the first place was only necessary because the US Government abnegated their Duty to prevent the preparation of Terrorism in another country.

These Five (5) Cuban patriots did nothing against the national security of the US, they perpetrated no violence against any one, they only sort to expose the sinister and terrorist plans of the criminal anti-Cuban exile groups in Miami, whose actions on Cuban soil were responsible for the deaths of over 3400 hundred innocent Cubans since the triumph of the revolution in 1959.

We condemn and deplore the obvious double standards of the US authorities who claim on the one hand to be champions against terrorism while on the other hand have imprisoned the proven, true Anti-terrorist heroes as exemplified by the Cuban Five.

The committee for the Liberation of the Cuban Five is also aware that the US Government funded the Anti-Cuban hysteria in Miami, before, during and even after the infamous trials, through their paid agent in the media. This dirty trick made it impossible for the Five Heroes to receive a fair trial, a fundamental tenet of any civilized jurisprudence.

We are also aware that the five heroes may be running out of legal options through the court system in the USA but we are also fully aware that this injustice, this travesty, this contrived malady can be terminated through the clemency process or relevant judicial pardon from the appropriate authority.

We therefore call on the US, just like various parliamentary members around the world, legal experts, UN committees, solidarity groups and workers organization to immediately and unconditionally free the Cuban Five from US prisons and allow them to return to their beloved family and their dear Cuba.
