Cuban Antiterrorist Sends Letter to Anti-imperialist Tribunal.

CUBA, 20th, December 2010. - Ramon Labañino, one of the five Cuban anti-terrorist fightersimprisoned in the United States, sent a message to the Anti-Imperialist Tribunal in session at the 17th World Festival of Youth and Students, underway in South Africa.

The letter, read by his eldest daughter Aili, states that humankind is facing an important battle for survival, and present and future generations can save the world from disaster.

His leader reads, "This international social order is based on inequality, war, unemployment, damage to the climate, theft of our resources, hunger, disease and destruction of all kinds. We all know that the problem is imperialism.

We can build a new society where human beings and not capital or money, are the center of everything. We are confident that all of us together can make a difference!”

Ramon Labañino´s letter continued to say, "When you return to your countries, remember that we are the hope of the future, and we need to make the planet Earth a peaceful, charming and beautiful place for everyone.”

After reading the letter, Aili handed President of the World Federation of Democratic Youth, Tiago Vieira, a plaque made especially for the Festival by Gerardo Hernandez, one of the Cuban Five.

In this Tribunal, Cuban youth reported the case of these patriots, as well as the double standard of U.S. policy, which keeps these innocent men imprisoned, while a confessed terrorist as Luis Posada Carriles, walks free in Miami.

The Festival, which concludes tomorrow, brings together some 15,000 delegates from over 140 nations. This year´s motto is “Defeating imperialism, for a world of peace, solidarity and social transformation!” Cubaminrex-RHC)
