Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez leading Cuban delegation to ALBA’s Social Ministerial Council

CUBA, August 21th, 2009.- Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermúdez, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party and minister of higher education, arrived in Bolivia at the head of an official Cuban delegation to the 1st Meeting of the Council of Social Ministers of the ALBA-TCP, taking place in La Paz from today, August 21.

In keeping with the solidarity and integrationist essence of this mechanism, the forum will tackle issues of utmost importance for the peoples of the member countries of ALBA in the areas of education, healthcare, employment and public works, among others. (Cubaminrex-Granma)
