Cubans Residents in Belize celebrate Their VI Nacional GatheringBELIZE, December 17, 2009.- With an attendance of over 50 Cuban residents in Belize, the Association of Cuban Residents celebrated their VI National Event. Present also were the Ambassador and Consul of Cuba to Belize.

During a few hours the attendants debated issues of importance for the Association and passed a Final Statement were among other topics, reflected their support in the struggle against the US Blockade to Cuba, claimed freedom for the Cuban Five and decided to name the organization after Commander Ernesto Che Guevara.Cubans Residents in Belize celebrate Their VI Nacional Gathering

Present also in the gathering were family and children of the Cuban residents who developed a separate program. They also enjoyed the documentary Ode to the Revolution and the cultural activity had the performance of a saxophonist and a singer.

The organization has emerged strengthened and with the commitment of substantially increasing their activities in 2010. (Cubaminrex-Embacuba Belice)
