Russian Venceremos Movement and Cuban Residents in Colombia Demand Washington End Blockade Against Cuba


CUBA, December 8, 2009.- Washington’s anti Cuba policy was condemned on Monday by the Russian Venceremos Movement and Cuban residents in Colombia.

The Russian Venceremos Movement addressed a letter to the US ambassador in Moscow demanding Washington end its economic blockade against Cuba.

The letter denounced the economic war against Cuba violating international law and constitutes an act of war against the Caribbean nation.

The organization also demanded the immediate release of the Cuban Five, unjustly incarcerated in the US for the last 11 years for fighting terrorism.

Meanwhile, in Bogota, Cuban residents in Colombia called on the right for their country of origin to defend its self determination and sovereignty and condemned Washington’s hostile policy against their nation.

In a declaration the Cuban residents in Colombia demanded an end to the US blockade against Cuba and committed themselves in denouncing the lies in the media outlets about the Revolution. (Cubaminrex-RHC)
