Belize, February 4, 2009. A total of six Cuban collaborators in Belize donate blood as a gesture to celebrate the 50 Anniversary of the Cuban Revolution, the X Anniversary of the Comprehensive Health Program in Belize and the birth of our national hero Jose Marti. Among the donors were 4 nurses, 1 Lab worker and one electro medicine specialist. The initiative is part of the compromises made by the nurses and technicians that work with the Cuban Medical Brigade in Belize. The gesture was appreciated by local authorities. Now Cuban and Belizean blood will be fused to save lives. The Cuban Ambassador to Belize, Manuel Rubido congratulated the donors and commented that this gesture will pass to the history of Cuban Belize cooperation. (Cubaminrex- Embacuba Belice.) |
