Lazo Meets with Grenada Foreign Minister

CUBA, February 25, 2009. Vice President Esteban Lazo Hernandez met on Tuesday morning with Grenada’s minister of Foreign Affairs and Tourism Peter Charles David, who is on an official visit to Cuba. The two leaders expressed their satisfaction over the current state of bilateral relations and supported the broadening and strengthening of them especially in cooperation.

Peter Charles David thanked Cuba for its solidarity with the island and recalled the success of the Cuba-CARICOM Summit held last December in Santiago de Cuba.

Lazo noted that the visit is an expression of the strengthening of the historic ties of friendship between the two peoples and shows the importance and the potentiality of the current Caribbean integration process. (Cubaminrex- Granma)
