Belize, February 5, 2009. The 40 Anniversary of the Belizean Society for environmental protection was celebrated at the Mexican Cultural Institute in the City of Belize. An exhibit of photography of the society was inaugurated at the activity which was attended by Cuban Ambassador Manuel Rubido. The exhibit was officially opened by the Ambassador of Mexico to Belize who invited the Ambassador of Cuba to cut the ribbon. In his speech, the Mexican diplomat praised Cuba’s achievements in environmental protection. Members of the Society told the Cuban Ambassador of the advances witnessed on environmental protection in Cuba, during their visits to the island. ( Cubaminrex- Embacuba Belize.) |
