The Number of Cuban Specialists in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is growing

Saint Vincent & Grenadines, July 6th, 2009. With the presence of new Cuban Cooperants in the Caribbean Island of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, the number of Cuban specialist in the country has augmented to seventy five. It is preview that before the year end, fifteen new Cuban specialists will join those already in Saint Vincent.

Cuban specialist work in the sphere of health, with the presence of a Medical Brigade which have eight members ,one Ophthalmological Brigade of the Operation Vision Now, which consist of ten members, a Brigade of seven constructors building the modern Diagnostic Center in Georgetown, which equipment will be donate by the Government of Cuba , while in  the Ministries of   Transport  and Public Works, and also the Ministry for Housing, six Cuban specialists are participating in important works of infrastructure.

Meanwhile, one Cuban Mechanical Engineers work for the Port Authority while another one, cooperates with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forest and Fishing in a triangular Project of Food  Security, with the participation of the FAO.  The Program aims to reactivate agriculture productions, in order to guarantee the food security of the country.
ON the other hand, forty two specialist works in the Argyle International Airport, which  this is going to be finish by year 2011.  Theirs number will increase before year ends.

In the Airport project the scientific and specialists from the Cuban Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment is also  cooperating, with studies of Environmental Impact which will provide the new Airport with the security it need  in such an important area.
