Belize, September 27, 2009. With the attendance of Cuban collaborators, members of the friendship committees with Cuba, The Cuban Embassy Staff and representatives of The Association of Cuban Residents in Belize, different activities were carried out in all Districts of Belize to commemorate another anniversary of the Committees for The Defense of The Revolution (CDR). During the political and cultural activity in Belize City the Cuban ambassador reviewed the history of this important anniversary, congratulating the presence of the children of Cuban residents in Belize, which commits them with their history and it is an educative moment for their sense of belonging to their country. It was also a moment to denounce the US Blockade against Cuba, to demand the immediate freedom of our Five Hero’s and to recognize the achievements of the CDR created by Commander in Chief Fidel Castro to protect the conquests of the Revolution. The cultural part included dances, poems and other initiatives including the Famous Caldosa, which has become a symbol of these celebrations.(Cubaminrex- Embacuba Belize) |
