Commemorated in Antigua and Barbuda Anniversaries of José Martí Pioneer’s Organization and Young Communist League
ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA, April 5, 2010. - The Embassy of Cuba in Antigua and Barbuda held an activity to celebrate the anniversaries of the founding of the José Marti Pioneers´ Organization (OPJM) and the Young Communist League (UJC). The event was also an auspicious occasion to salute the success of the 9th Congress of the latter.
Cuban Ambassador, José Manuel Inclán Embade, Javier López Morillo, Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, diplomatic officials of both Embassies, members of the Cuban community living in Antigua with their children as well as a representation of Antiguan students who graduated in Cuba and their families attended the event.
The participants were entertained with several games, the showing of a film about Elpidio Valdés and children’s music.
The celebration was an expression of the close friendship among the peoples of Cuba, Venezuela and Antigua and Barbuda. (Cubaminrex-Embacuba Antigua and Barbuda).
