Exhibition on OSPAAAL’s posters opened in South Africa SOUTH AFRICA, August 2ND, 2010.- On the occasion of the 26 July, it was opened at the University of Cape Town (UCT), the exhibition of posters from of the Organization of Solidarity among the Peoples of Asia, Africa and Latin America (OSPAAAL) entitled “Humanity has move on”. The exhibition arranged by the Friends of Cuba Society (FOCUS) in the province of the Western Cape, has the objective to show the importance of global solidarity seen through a cultural window via the OSPAAAL posters printed in its almost 45 years of existence. The visual expressions of resistance against colonialism and neocolonialism was inaugurated by Professor Kader Asmal, a stalwart of the anti apartheid struggle, and Professor Harry Garuba who were the guest speakers for the occasion. The interaction generated on this occasion proved the validity of the decision to choose the UCT as venue in reason of been the university with the biggest number of foreign students in South Africa.
