EmbaCuba Zimbabwe and Zimbabwean Friendship Association celebrate July 26.
ZIMBABWE, August 9th, 2010.- The Cuba-Zimbabwe Friendship Association, ZICUFA, and the Cuban Embassy in this African nation, held the 57 Anniversary of the Attack to the Moncada and Carlos Manuel of Céspedes Barracks. The occasion gathered the executive of the Association of the Cuban Five Committee Proliberación in Zimbabwe, officials of the Embassy, Zimbabweans graduated in Cuba, Cuban residents and members of the Cuban Medical Brigade in the country. Also, members of the ZANU-PF party participated in the activity. According to the African traditions, graduates in Cuba thanked the education given by our country to thousands of Zimbabweans, as well as the warmness that they found in Cuba as a second homeland; at the time that they gratified the presence of our physicians in all Zimbabwe.
The Chargé D’ Affaires of EmbaCuba Zimbabwe, Jessica Guía Valladares, remembered the importance of the Day of the Cuban National Rebelliousness, in moments when the US blockade still stand, and the Five Heroes continue wrongly imprisoned in USA in spite of having been demonstrated that they are fighting against terrorism. She expressed that only a Revolution as Cuban one has beautiful achievement as the international cooperation, whose bigger expression in Zimbabwe is the presence of a Medical Brigade.
The Cuban medical staff in Zimbabwe, in honor to the date, interpreted a touching cultural segment, in which they recited poems of love and dedicated to our heroes. (Cubaminrex – Embacuba Zimbabwe)
