Founding President of the Namibian nation, Dr. Sam Nujoma, bids farewell to Cuban Ambassador
 
Namibia, August 19TH, 2010. - Sam Nujoma, Founding President of Namibia, received in his office Ambassador Ana Vilma Vallejera Rodríguez, who concludes her mission soon, after four and a half years of work in the African country. 
 
The historical Namibian leader and the Cuban diplomat examined the current state of the bilateral relations, both the political and the economic and commercial ones, and exchanged points of view on the current reality of both countries and the international issues of more interest in these moments.  
 
Nujoma requested the Cuban diplomat to convey his greetings to comrades Fidel and Raúl and expressed his satisfaction to see his friend Fidel completely recovered. He thanked the Ambassador for her contribution to the strengthening of the bilateral relations and the development of the cooperation, in spheres so important as health, education, sports, agriculture, fisheries, mines and energy, among others which have contributed favorable results to the Namibian society. 
 
The Ambassador, on her side, expressed her most sincere gratefulness to the historical leader for the warm welcome that she had since her arrival in the country and for the whole support received in the discharge of her functions by the different organs, political and social organizations and public and private institutions all over the country. 
 
After the meeting, comrade Nujoma offered the Ambassador a private lunch, also attended by some officials of the Embassy and other advisors and assistants to the Founding Father of Namibia.
