Cuban Foreign Minister Meets with Nicaraguan President CUBA, December 8th, 2010.- The Cuban Foreign Minister arrived in Nicaragua after visiting El Salvador, where he met with Mauricio Funes and Salvador Sanchez, President and Vice-president of that country. Before that visit, Rodriguez participated in the 20th Iberian-American Summit of Heads of State and Government held the previous weekend in Mar del Plata, Argentina. Cuban Foreign Affairs Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla met with Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega and with his counterpart Samuel Santos in Managua. They discussed bilateral cooperation and regional and world issues. They also spoke about the process for the creation of the Community for Latin American and Caribbean States expected to be officially founded in June 2011, issues related with the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA), and climate change.
