CUBA, Jan 18, 2010. - Commander of the Revolution Ramiro Valdes, vice-president of the Cuban councils of State and Ministers, arrived on Monday to the Bolivian city of Santa Cruz, heading an official delegation from the island. Valdes, who is also the Minister for Computing and Communications, travelled to Bolivia accompanied by Marcelino Medina, First Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, to participate in the swearing-in ceremony of Evo Morales, elected for a second term of office in Bolivia. Before travelling to La Paz to participate on Thursday and Friday in the ceremonies of Morales’ investiture as President, the Cuban delegation will travel to the province of Valle Grande, the Prensa Latina news agency reports. It was in Valle Grande where the mortal remains of Heroic Guerrilla Ernesto Che Guevara were found. The Cuban delegation intends to get to the locality of La Higuera, where the mythical Argentinean-Cuban combatant was assassinated in 1967. Likewise, it will also visit the place where Tamara Bunke and other companions of the guerrilla led by Che in the Andean country used to be buried. As part of its agenda, the delegation will visit the Señor de Malta Hospital, where Che’s corpse was taken, and where dozens of Cuban internationalist doctors are now offering their services.
