Cuban President Raul Castro met in HAVANA WITH Saint Lucia’s Prime Minister, Stephenson King. After the official welcoming ceremony, the two heads of government greeted the members of their respective delegations at Revolution Palace, where they held official talks. The first Vice-president of the Cuban Councils of State and Ministers, Jose Ramon Machado Ventura, participated in the dialogue, which took place in a friendly atmosphere, in accordance with the excellent relations existing between Cuba and Saint Lucia. King arrived on Wednesday in Havana on an official visit at the invitation of the Cuban President. After his arrival King toured the city’s historical area and placed a wreath by the monument to Jose Marti at the Memorial named after the Cuban National Hero. This is the second time that the St. Lucia leader has visited Cuba. He will stay until Sunday and will fulfill a program of visits to places of interest. |
