MALAWI, February 13th, 2010. The Speaker of the National Assembly (Parliament) of Malawi, Henry Chimunthu Banda, received in Malawi Parliament the Cuban ambassador, Carmelina Ramirez. The leader of the Malawian legislative hailed Cuba for its social and economic achievements in the last 50 years of the Revolution, and the selfless support given to third world countries, especially African countries. The Speaker ratified the position of the Malawian government and President Mutharika in solidarity with Cuba in the battle for the lifting of the blockade and the release of the Cuban Five imprisoned in United States.
