Nigerian expert recognized quality of the Cuban Health System Nigeria, March 4, 2010.- Nigerian newspaper ‘’The Guardian’’ published an interview with Dr. Dale Ogunbayo, Consultant on Health to the Nigerian Governors’ Forum (NGF), who recognized the quality of the Cuban Health System. Dr. Dale confirmed that state governments have been advised to build cost-effective health partnerships with the Cuban Health Ministry to improve life expectancy of their people and also to develop the competence of their medical professionals. The Nigerian expert visited Cuba on September last year as a member of Nigerian Governors’ Forum (NGF). He expressed that Ekiti State had become one of the states of the nation that had entered into a partnership with Cuba for the purpose of providing quality ophthalmological services to Nigerians through the state-of-the-art eye centre in Ado-Ekiti, the capital of that state.
