The Anniversary of the 13th of march is celebrated in Belize

BELIZE, March 13, 2010. With celebrations in all districts of Belize, the assault to the Presidential Palace in 1957 by the Revolutionary Students Directory was commemorated and homage paid to its President Jose Antonio Echevarria. The activities started by a symbolic assault on a meeting of the Cuban Mission in Belize by an important number of collaborators.  They arrived by surprise in cars, took all the entrances and occupied the meeting room where they celebrated a political act that concluded with the recording of the historic speech by Jose Antonio in Radio Reloj.
In the afternoon a sports event was played and in the evening another activity was done by collaborators and Cuban Residents in Belize.
The Cuban Ambassador to Belize considered all the initiatives as very positive as tribute to one of the most daring actions of our liberation struggle. (Cubaminrex - Embacuba Belize).
