Venezuelan Ambassador to Cuba Ronald Blanco La Cruz denounced today in Havana the increasing militarization of the U.S. government’s foreign policy. “We must act and denounce the U.S. aggression against our countries” said the Venezuelan diplomat in the Miramar Business Center, during the launch of the latest edition of the Tricontinental magazine which is dedicated to this subject. In the meeting, sponsored by the Organization of Solidarity with the Peoples of Asia, Africa and Latin America (OSPAAAL), the Cuban Movement for Peace and Sovereignty of Peoples, and the Venezuelan Embassy’s Peace Base, Blanco Cruz stressed the need for unity. In the face of the growing aggressiveness of the U.S. imperialism “the way for our people is integration,” he said. Earlier, Rafael Hernandez, director of the Temas magazine, addressed the historic U.S. governments’ aggression against the region. Alfonso Fraga Perez, secretary general of the OSPAAAL, referred to the need for mobilizing global anti-imperialist and progressive forces to confront the imperial counteroffensive.
