Vice President Esteban Lazo Meets with Visiting Panamanian Foreign Minister CUBA, November 19, 2010.- Cuban Vice President Esteban Lazo met on Thursday afternoon with Juan Carlos Varela Rodriguez, Vice President and Foreign Minister of Panama, who is on an official visit to Cuba. During the meeting, both officials checked the current state of bilateral relations and analyzed prospects to diversify and strengthen the existing ties. They also spoke about topics of regional, international and common interest. Present in the meeting were the Cuban Foreign Minister, Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, and the Panamanian Ambassador to Cuba, Luis Carlos Cleghom, as well as other Panamanian officials such as the General Director of Foreign Policy, Alfredo Castillero, and Nevin Bhakta, Member of the Council of Foreign Relations.
