Bolivian Foreign Minister in Havana on Official Visit CUBA, October 16, 2010.- Bolivian Foreign Minister David Choquehuanca arrived on Thursday in Havana for an official visit. Upon his arrival at Havana’s Jose Marti Inter-national Airport, where he was welcomed by Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister Rogelio Sierra, Choquehuanca said the purpose of his visit is to strengthen the existing bilateral ties. He also greeted the Cuban people and the leaders of the Revolution on behalf of Bolivian President Evo Morales. He spoke about Bolivia’s admiration for the Cuban people and government, whose assistance has allowed the Andean nation to carry out a comprehensive program of social transformations, particularly in the health sector, in the training of human resources and in the field of education with a nationwide literacy campaign. The agenda of the Bolivian diplomat includes the signing of bilateral agreements, including one agreement against drug trafficking.
