Cuban Parliament President Gets Support Resolution from the Parliament of the Dominican Republic CUBA, October 30th, 2010.- Cuban Parliament President Ricardo Alarcon welcomed a delegation from the Legislative Body of the Dominican Republic who presented to him a copy of recently passed parliament resolution demanding the immediate release of the five Cuban heroes imprisoned in the United States since 1998. The hand over ceremony was held at the site of the Cuban Friendship Institute in Havana. In the resolution, the lawmakers urge President Barack Obama to free Ramón Labañino, René González, Gerardo Hernández, Antonio Guerrero and Fernando González, because they never posed any threat to the national security of the United States; because they were only monitoring anti-Cuba terrorist groups to prevent any further attacks against the island. On hand was Magali Llort, mother of Fernando González, who read a message of gratitude sent by her son. (Cubaminrex - RHC)
