Mauritian Minister of Foreign Affairs Meets Cuban Ambassador
      
MAURITIUS, 10 June, 2010. The Honourable Dr. Arvin Boolell, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and International Trade of the Republic of Mauritius received today at the Cuban Ambassador in the Republic of Mauritius, Enrique Antonio Prieto López. The meeting is part of the program fulfilled by the Cuban diplomat after the presentation of his credential letters in Mauritius. Both representatives exchanged about the Cuban cooperation with the African continent, the Cuban Five and others significant issues.

Mr. Prieto López personally convey to the Mauritian Minister the congratulation message from his Cuban counterpart Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla in occasion of his  ratification in the post of Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and International Trade of the Republic of Mauritius, as well as his reelection as member of Parliament of the African country. He also took the opportunity to thanks the Mauritian reply on US blockade recently sent to the UN General Secretary Office.

Likewise, Minister Boolell expressed the Mauritian will to consider future cooperation programs with Cuba, included the HEBER-PROT-P project for diabetic patients.  Besides, he praised the Cuban outcomes in fields as medicine and sports, which could be exchanged with the Mauritian authorities. Boolell also pointed out that Cuba and Mauritius are able to share his experience in sectors as the sugar production and fishing. (Cubaminrex- Embacuba Zimbabwe)
