Cuba-Brazil Working Group in Session in Havana CUBA, June 23, 2010. Cuban and Brazilian scientists assessed the prospects of increasing bilateral cooperation during a meeting of the Cuba-Brazil Working Group for Science, Technology and Innovation Cooperation that took place today in Havana. The delegations are headed by the Cuban Minister of Science, Technology and the Environment (CITMA), Jose Miyar Barrueco, and by his Brazilian counterpart, Sergio Machado Rezende, who arrived in Havana with his accompanying delegation on The most recent agreement in this respect dates back to February 2008 when Cuban and Brazilian representatives signed an Amendment to an existing agreement on science, technology and innovation, particularly in the area of radio-medicines, nanotechnology and renewable energy.
