Saint Lucian Journalist Condemns U.S. Policy against Cuba. ST. LUCIA, 18th April, 2011.- Bro. Rossini Francois, a member of the Committee in Defense of the Cuban Five and Newspaper Columnist on Saturday April 16th, on Caribbean Harmony Radio 107.9 FM, blasted the U.S. Policy on Cuba; highlighting the effects of the continued Blockade on Cuba, the continued unjust imprisonment of the Cuban Five and damage to the Cuban Economy. Bro. Rossini Francois spoke widely on these subjects, while mentioning renowned Australian journalists and other American journalists in their condemnation of U.S. Policy on Cuba. The recent release of Luis Posada Carriles on Immigration charges was also highlighted. Rossini indicated that Luis Posada Carriles is a known Terrorist; being one of the persons responsible for the blowing-up of the Cubana Aircraft in Barbadian waters on October 6th, 1976. He informed listeners that this was the first act of Terrorism against an Airline. He also reminded listeners of the ill-fated attempt on the life of Fidel Castro at the Ibero-American Conference some years ago among many other acts of Terrorism, which pointed to Posada Carriles. Bro. Rawle Harvey, President of the Humanistic Solidarity Association (Saint Lucia – Cuba); while supporting Bro. Rossini’s position, also highlighted the continued imprisonment of the Cuban Five in different states all over the United States while Posada Carriles walks free. In addition, Bro. Harvey highlighted the activities of the Association, including ongoing Excursions to Cuba in April – May and July and the upcoming Second Quarterly General Meeting, which was to be held at the Babonneau Secondary School.
